A man suffered grievous injuries after an accident involving a mechanical plough in Gozo.

Police said that assistance was requested at around 5pm on Wednesday in Triq tas-Surgent in Qala, Gozo, where a 38-year-old man from Sannat had gotten injured while using a mechanical plough.

The man was given medical attention on site and then taken to Gozo General Hospital for treatment.

He was certified as suffering from grievous injuries.

Members of the Civil Protection Department were also called to assist.  Police said that investigations are ongoing.
