The Arts Council Malta, in cooperation with the Malta Cross Music competition, wishes to inform interested musicians of a competition which will be held in Prague, in the Czech Republic, for the first time, from 16 to 20 July. The competition is open to musicians with at least five years' experience in playing any musical instrument. The music selected should be from film, pop, semi-classical or traditional music from the Czech Republic or Malta. It is open to musicians (not singers) of all genders between the ages of 18 and 35.

The initial competition to select the best 10 musicians will be done through material which the musicians will send through a link being created and which they will be able to access on Facebook. The finalists will be invited to the Czech Republic for a final selection.  

The Arts Council Malta, in cooperation with the Malta Cross Music competition, will provide funds to support travel and accommodation expenses to winning individuals.

Participants are invited for an online session scheduled for Wednesday, 31 January at 1pm. Musicians should send an email to [email protected] to secure their place at the info session and receive the link to attend the meeting.

A Facebook page will be created where contestants will find all details for participating and instructions to send music material. There are interesting prizes for all contestants.
