A plane with three persons on board made an emergency landing at Malta International Airport on Wednesday afternoon.

An MIA statement said that at 6.25pm, a full emergency was declared by the Malta Air Traffic Services (MATS) at Malta International Airport, after an aircraft travelling from Malta towards Stockholm Skavsta Airport with 3 persons on board returned back to Malta due to technical reasons.

The aircraft landed safely at Malta International Airport at 6.57pm.

MIA thanked all first responders and emergency teams who arrived on site immediately for precautionary emergency support.
