Works on the Ta’ Qali National Park concert zone nearing completion

Works on the Ta' Qali National Park concert zone are nearing completion, the government said.

Infrastructure Minnister Chris Bonett said that this zone, that untill a few years ago was a concrete plant with tonnes of construction material illegally dumped, and that it has now been development into an open space that offers all possible facilities for high level mass activities.

Parliamentary Secretary Omar Farrugia said that this concert zone is "an integral part of the project carried out by the Department of Public Works in terms of the regeneration of the national park." He said that the investment in the park include the largest green space in the country, equivalent to 20 football grounds.

The zone, he said, includes the best technology and facilities to cared to high level concerts. It also has dressing rooms and a backstage located underground, a clinic, a security control room and 144 toilets.
