Robert Aquilina stepping down as Repubblika president

Repubblika president Robert Aquilina said that he is stepping down from the role of president of the NGO.

Aquilina said that he will be delivering his last address as president today.

Vicki Ann Cremona will serve as the Acting President until her nomination to the role is confirmed by the Executive Committee.

His depasrture does not mean that he will abandon the cause. He said that he will still be representing the NGO in its battles in court.

“I will continue to lead and represent the Repubblika in the cases we have in court against the Police Commissioner and the Attorney General regarding the Pilatus bank criminals and all that is related to the criminal investigation that led us to uncover the fraudulent sale of three Maltese hospitals by Joseph Muscat and his accomplices. I will continue to resist with all my strength Joseph Muscat's desperate attempts to obstruct justice,” he said in a Facebook post announcing his departure.

He said that the nation is at a pivotal moment, emphasizing that the ongoing cases will play a crucial role in guiding the country forward.

“Therefore, I will be dedicating all my energy to ensure that these battles of vital importance are fought to the end and bring about the results and developments we need for our country,” he concluded.
