Two women, man arrested soon after theft from Sliema outlet

Two women and a man were arrested on Wednesday afternoon soon after committing a theft from a Sliema outlet, the police said Thursday.

The incident took place at the Strand at 2.30pm.

Officers were informed by a shop assistant, a woman aged 31 of San Gwann, that the two woman and the man had entered the shop and, after being aggressive towards her, made off with some cash.

The police were able to trace the three perpetrators thanks to a description they were provided, and the three were arrested soon afterwards, in Gzira.

They were found to be in possession of the money that had been stolen, the police said.

The shop assistant was later certified to have suffered minor in juries.
