The Malta Agrifair 2024 was officially opened today, in the presence of the President of Malta Myriam Spiteri Debono, Agriculture Minister Anton Refalo, as well as the Parliamentary Secretary for Fisheries, Aquaculture, and Animal Rights Alicia Bugeja Said.

The three toured the various exhibits being showcased at this fair, while appreciating the consistently high level it maintains year after year, which continues to increase, a government statement read.

Last year’s fair attracted around 35,000 people who could take a close look at local products offered by local producers.

The Malta Agrifair 2024 will feature various exhibitors of local products, including farmers, animal breeders and fishermen, as well as other food producers offering their products to Maltese and Gozitan consumers.

Among the exhibitions of this edition, there will be various agricultural products, fish and fishing apparatus, animal competitions, as well as the Malta Culinary 2024 with various food competitions.

For all those attending, there will be the opportunity to taste typical Maltese food and drinks offered by the Biċċerija; as well as chicken, local rabbit, and cheese from the Malta Food Agency, with various local cooperatives offering samples of their products.

On Saturday, 13 April from 5pm onwards, there will also be cattle milking competitions, and on Sunday morning on 14 April, there will be sheep and goat competitions.

Malta Agrifair 2024 will take place between 12 April and 14 April 2024, at the MFCC in Ta' Qali, from 10am to 10pm.
