Government's action shows that it does not respect women, ADPD says

ADPD - The Green Party expressed shock that Clint Axisa (Transport Malta) has been allowed to continue working with the Government, despite ongoing criminal procedures against him.

ADPD - The Green Party Chairperson and candidate Sandra Gauci said "Axisa, despite numerous accusations of sexual harassment in the workplace, has been allowed to work with a government agency again, as if nothing has happened. This continues to confirm that women are not respected by the Government. The revocation of Axisa's suspension from work, shows that to the Labour Government women remain objects - the hobby and pastime for some men.”

Gauci emphasised that the government is continuing to strengthen the idea that despite their fake quotas and sad faces after a femicide, they haven't, they aren't, and they will never be credible on women's rights. An alleged perpetrator, undergoing criminal proceedings, seems to be able to use his party membership as a 'get out of jail free card'.

ADPD - The Green Party said it continues to support women's rights and are against all violence. There is the need for a change in mentality, as Malta has remained behind in my aspects with regards equality.
