“Chris Fearne made a wise move by resigning when faced with criminal accusations, even if he's not entirely sure what they're based on,” the party said.

ADPD President Sandra Gauci said that given the rarity of resignations from officials in maltese politics “Fearne's resignation sets an example for every politician on how to assume political responsibility whenever necessary.”

Following this resignation, the ADPD is now calling fro the resignation of Edward Scicluna from his post of Governor of the Central Bank.
