Mayor Raymond Attard welcomed all those present saying that the meeting, the first of its kind in Malta was part of the Paola council’s ongoing commitment to provide the best service to the community.

Addressing the meeting was Dr Mario Spiteri, from the Health Promotion Department

Dr Spiteri spoke at length about the new No-Smoking regulations explaining exactly what they will mean to bar owners, clubs and restaurants.

The meeting was chaired by Councillor Bernard Lynch, responsible for the local business community .
