Malta Independent Tuesday, 6 April 2004, 00:00 Last update: about 14 years ago

The awards presented were for Best Stand at the Trade Fair, Best Product, Most Innovative Product/ Service and Best Business Plan.

Pl@n:it, representing Verdala International School, won the first two awards with Dynamix winning the Most Innovative Product/Service category. The award for the Best Business Plan went to Solutions.

Young Enterprise Malta chief executive officer Mark Farrugia said: “The National Trade Fair was a great success both for Young Enterprise in general and for the 13 companies taking part.

“The fair began with HSBC presenting a sponsorship cheque of Lm14,000 which will, of course, be very useful as we plan the European finals.

“Throughout the weekend, sales were great and I am sure all the companies are pleased with their turnover.

“Obviously, for some teams, the weekend ended on a high with the presentation of these first four awards.”

After the success of the Trade Fair, the HSBC Young Enterprise Company of The Year programme moves on to its most exciting and challenging period, with the approaching national finals in July.

There are still plenty of awards to be won, including the coveted Company of the Year, so all 13 teams need to stay focused and carry on their hard work in order not only to be able to win the national title but also to then have the honour of representing Malta in the European finals, concluded Mr Farrugia.
