Alleged Rape victim testifies using video conferencing

The boy testified before Magistrate Saviour Demicoli who is presiding over the compilation of evidence against Hamid El Faiq, 39, from St Paul’s Bay.

He is pleading not guilty to violently raping the boy, corrupting him, holding him against his will and forcing him to perform immoral acts.

Magistrate Demicoli ordered that the boy’s testimony be heard behind closed doors. Testimony from the boy’s father was also heard behind closed doors.

Police inspectors Louise Calleja and Paul Bond prosecuted while Dr Henry Antoncic appeared for the defendant.
