59-year-old Dolores Micallef was cleared of breaching the peace and trespassing after the court concluded she had not violated anyone’s rights.
The woman’s brother, Anthony Micallef, said that he threw clothes Mrs Micallef hung on his roof into the street. Mrs Micallef claimed that she had access to this roof from her residence and she always used to hang her clothes there.
The court, presided over by Magistrate Consuelo Scerri Herrera ruled that Mrs Micallef had the right to hang her clothes on this roof because it was hers and therefore acquitted her of all charges.
