The stamp was produced by designer/photographer Joe P. Smith and comes in two values: 16 cents and 51 cents.
The 16-cent stamp shows the Mediterranean, with Senglea seafront in the foreground and Vittoriosa in the background, with children jumping into the sea. The 51-cent stamp features Hagar Qim prehistoric temples.
The stamp issue will be available from all Maltapost branch post offices in Malta and Gozo, the Maltapost Mobile Unit and the Maltapost Philatelic Bureau at Marsa Head Office.
The set is available in First Day Cover format, mint or cancelled, a Souvenir Folder or a Presentation Pack.
The stamps were offset printed by Bundesdruckerei GmbH of Germany. They measure 55 millimetres by 32.8 millimetres, with a perforation of 13.75 by 13.75, and they are available in sheets of 10.
