The man, 54-year-old Kevin Purcell, who lives in Surrey, England, collided with a boat at about 12.15pm on 19 May as he was driving along the Qawra coast in St Paul’s Bay. He damaged the boat and a two-year-old boy was slightly injured in the incident. Purcell was speeding at the time of the accident and has offered to pay for the damage he caused.
The court was presided over by magistrate Abigail Lofaro and inspector Joseph Mercieca prosecuted.
