Gozo Business Chamber president Joe Grech announced that more than 66 stands will be taking part and the main exhibits will be spread over an area of 1,600 square metres. In addition, 50 Italian exhibitors from the Comunita Montana dell’Aniene and the Province of Taranto will also be displaying their products.
Products exhibited include household goods, toys, light metal work, stained glass, garden furniture, house décor, computers and security systems.
For the third consecutive year, the fair’s main sponsors are Vodafone and Bank of Valletta. Vodafone Malta’s Business Segment senior executive Ian Mercieca Bons said that Vodafone had backed the fair from the start and was delighted that it had become one of the most important commercial annual events in Gozo. Vodafone would once again be present at the fair, answering enquiries about their services.
BOV Business Development Department manager Julian Holland said that Bank of Valletta had supported the fair since its inception, as it is in line with their efforts to promote Gozo’s economic development. BOV supports the Gozo Business Chamber and has developed an excellent working relationship with the Gozitan business community. Their sponsorship of the fair underlines the importance the bank gives to fostering the development of business activity in Gozo.
The fair will also feature a fund-raising activity in aid of the Dorthese Ellis Foundation, an art exhibition, a marathon of musical talents, a dog show, scout band marches, line dancing, latin dancing and an Italian karaoke show.
The fair will be opened by Gozo Minister Giovanna Debono and entrance is free of charge. Doors will open to the public at 5pm tomorrow, Friday, and close at 10pm. On Saturday the opening hours are 11am to 10pm, on Sunday from 10am to 10pm and on Monday, 7, from 9am to 1pm and from 5pm to 9pm.
