In his letter, Labour secretary-general Jason Micallef said that this behaviour by the new PBS editorial board was unacceptable since the station did report a similar activity which was taking place at the same time and in the same locality but at the Nationalist Party (PN) club.
“What happened on Wednesday confirms yet again the haste and the real reason why a new editorial board was appointed at PBS only a few weeks before the 12 June elections,” Mr Micallef said.
He warned that the Labour Party was “vigilant” and would be using “all the necessary means” to ensure that the PBS news centre does not serve as a supporter of the PN’s electoral campaign while at the same time hindering Labour’s campaign.
