But it is likely that Dr Sant will not be attending the event as he will be concentrating on the local political activities, including his participation in tonight’s edition of Xarabank.

The activity, which will also be addressed by French Socialist leader Francois Hollande, will be held at the Sud-Ouest (South-West) constituency. The invitation by the French Socialists came after Dr Sant met Mr Hollande at the Party of European Socialists congress in Brussels in April. Dr Sant and Mr Hollande were on the same panel which discussed job creation and social protection at the PES congress.

The French Socialist Party together with the other left-wing parties are in front during the electoral campaign for the EP elections after winning 21 out of 22 regions in the recent regional elections.
