“Although I am greatly influenced in my work by my native Mediterranean, with her panoply of bright, warm colours, I have also taken inspiration from various stays in France, Scotland, Israel and North Africa, places which are dear to me. Having lived in several locations, and being greatly interested in the mysticism and legends of the whole of the Mediterranean basin, I have created pieces, each with its own character, representing a moment of intense and deep emotion.

“Basically I paint listening to middle Eastern and Mediterranean music and let myself take inspiration from there.”

His next exhibition is set for 18 August at Camilleri Paris Mode in Annunciation Square, Sliema.
