Sources close to the investigation said 111 registered letters, including official court letters, were found in Marco Formosa’s locker. The man had failed to deliver these letters between October 2003 and February 2004.
Mr Formosa, 26 from Zabbar, was charged with not obeying his duty and breaking the oath he had taken to deliver all letters and give out necessary receipts for the registered ones.
The court was presided over by magistrate Abigail Lofaro while inspector Joseph Agius prosecuted.
