Bugibba Arts Festival Ushers in Summer 2004

The Bugibba Arts Festival aims to promote authentic Maltese talent in various spheres such as the arts, crafts, artisan skills, music, drama and dance, as well as to create a unique festival experience and an enjoyable event for all the family.

During the festival, painters, sculptors, animators and actors will be performing and exhibiting their work and talent along the Bugibba Promenade and in Bay Square.

Other activities include African song and dance, Latin American and Peruvian music and the participation of rock bands Winter Moods, Scream Daisy and Kudos Kin. There will also be street theatre at regular intervals, as well as art exhibitions in various hotels. Wignacourt Tower will be open on Saturday and Sunday between 6pm and 10.30pm. In Guardia re-enactors will be on guard.

The festival will be officially inaugurated by Tourism and Culture Minister Francis Zammit Dimech in Bugibba’s Bay Square on 9 July.
