Another Labour MEP, Louis Grech, will be a member of the Budgets Committee, while Joseph Muscat will be a member of the Economy and Monetary Affairs committee.

The Labour MEPs will also be substitute members on the Regions, Transport and Tourism, and Internal Market and Consumer Affairs committees.

The Socialist Group selected Louis Grech as the vice-chairman of an EP delegation in meetings with the Korean peninsula.

Joseph Muscat forms part of a similar delegation which keeps up relations with Belarus.
