Man Denies cocaine possession

Carmel Zammit, 35, denied being in possession of cocaine on 15 July and the previous months in circumstances suggesting it was not for his personal use.

He was also accused of relapsing in terms of previous convictions and breaching the terms of a court order.

Zammit was granted bail and ordered to pay a Lm500 deposit.

The court was presided over by magistrate Denis Montebello. Inspector Pierre Grech prosecuted and Dr Robert Abela appeared for the accused.
