Chinese Man denies having counterfeit DVDs

Di Wang, 32, was charged with these crimes as well as with forging a passport and using it, breaching copyright, evading duty and VAT on Lm340 worth of DVDs.

Wang was accused of not paying Lm29.40 in duty and Lm156.49 in VAT. He pleaded guilty to all the charges pressed against him.

Presiding magistrate Consuelo Scerri Herrera denied the accused’s request for bail and remanded him in custody.
