The award is given to those who endorse and strive to achieve Accor’s values of trust, responsibility, professionalism, transparency and innovation. The Bernache Award is the highest award in the Accor Group and only 15 people from the whole group worldwide receive it.

Accor is a worldwide group, present in over 100 countries, that manages more than 4,000 hotels and its subsidiary Accor Casinos of which Dragonara Casino forms part, also manages 22 casinos in Europe. The group employs over 150,000 employees worldwide.

Mr. Zammit has managed to apply highly innovative marketing and commercial strategies in order to promote the Dragonara Casino in a highly competitive market. This achievement has ensured that the Dragonara Casino consolidates its lead position, with a constant rise in turnover and over 20 per cent increased annual growth rate in attendance.

Mr Zammit said that he was delighted with the award which showed that hard work always paid, especially at the Dragonara Casino where all the management works together as a team to achieve the objectives set by the company.

Mr Zammit is the first Maltese to win such a prestigious award within the Accor Group.
