Man Admits injuring police constable

Carmel Pace, 38, was accused of injuring PC Mula’s face, slightly injuring an inspector, damaging government property, violently resisting police and disobeying their orders, being drunk in public, using obscene language and breaching the peace.

Pace pleaded guilty to all charges pressed against him, including relapsing in view of previous convictions.

The man was granted bail and ordered to pay a Lm500 deposit. Presiding magistrate Michael Mallia will pass judgement on the case when an estimate is made of the damage the accused caused. Inspector Stephen Gatt prosecuted while Dr Joseph Giglio appeared
