Three hooded, armed men held up the bar owner at around 7.15pm and stole money. An ambulance took the owner to St Luke’s Hospital to receive medical treatment.
Duty magistrate Dr. Silvio Meli appointed a number of experts to help him in the inquiry.
The incident is being investigated by Hamrun District police together with the Criminal Investigations Department.
