In a statement, the party said AD had resorted to distorting facts to suit itself by insinuating that by such a declaration, the Prime Minister had tried to influence the decision on a pending application for a golf course.

He said AD chairman Harry Vassallo had distorted Dr Gonzi’s speech to justify AD’s position regarding the development of more golf courses.

The party said the government is committed to improving the country’s environment with projects and initiatives that will improve the country’s tourism industry.
