Moviment Graffitti, which has actively supported the Save Wied Garnaw Action Group, said that this was a victory for the thousands of residents who signed petitions against the proposed development and the civil society organisations and others who supported them. The movement said that the next step was to ensure that all illegal development is removed from the valley.

At the same time Moviment Graffitti expressed its disappointment that the DCC decision was taken behind closed doors as those interested were informed that it was due to be taken at 2pm on Monday but instead it was taken at 1.45pm, before the public arrived.
