Kenneth Caruana, 23, from Qormi, pleaded not guilty to being an accomplice in the theft of three bags from Armier Bay on 26 August. He was also accused of stealing a gold chain from Mellieha Bay, tampering with his car’s number plate, dangerous driving and speeding, relapsing and breaching the terms of a conditional discharge. Police inspector Joseph Mercieca prosecuted while Dr Shazoo Ghaznavi appeared for the defence.
