The accident took place at Vjal il-Qalbenin Mostin in Mosta at 12.45pm.

A Toyota Starlet driven by a 19-year old from Mosta careened out of control and hit the 46-year-old woman from Gharb.

The Toyota then crossed over to the other side of the road and crashed into three more parked cars.

The Gozitan woman was rushed to hospital where her condition was found to be very grave as a result of the injuries she sustained.

Duty magistrate Dr Giovanni Grixti was informed and appointed a number of experts in the inquiry. Police investigations are being conducted by the Mosta district police.
