The International Charity Society (Malta Foundation) welcomed in Malta over 100 orphan children from five different orphan homes of Russia. They stayed with Maltese hosting families for over three months.

The International Charity Society (ICS) expressed its gratitude to Maltese hosting families for their generosity and Air Malta for support.

The ICS was formed six years ago with the intention of showing Maltese people’s generosity in other parts of the world, where human solidarity is badly needed.

ICS is now planning to invite children from Beslan for holidays and rehabilitation after the nightmare of the terrorist act last week. ICS is taking bookings for the Christmas group.

The children will be hosted by Maltese families from 17 December to 21 January 2005. Any Maltese family (including aged couples and single persons) interested in hosting a child can phone 2125-2613 (office hours) and /or 2169-2298/9942-9997.

ICS will also be organising a Charity Mission to Russia from 10 to 17 December. Those who want to join the mission or donate new clothes, sweets, toys, stationery, medicine and anything that will be useful for the children can contact Mr Albert Debono 2138-9189 – 7949-8994.
