Orphans from other areas in Russia together with children from Beslan will be coming to Malta from 17 December till 21 January. Any Maltese family (including aged couples and single persons) interested in hosting a child can phone 2125-2613 (office hours) or 2169-2298/9942-9997.

Beslan was in the news two weeks ago when a school was taken over by armed militants and over 350 people were killed in the ensuing battle with the terrorists.

ICS is grateful to the Maltese people for their generosity. ICS would like to appeal:

• To everybody who can help financially to cover travelling expenses for Beslan children to come to Malta;

• For invitations for children to participate in various Christmas activities;

• For any help with new clothes, sweets, toys, stationery, medicine and anything that will be useful for the children.

Today, a group of 37 Russian children will be leaving for Russia after having spent three months in Malta.
