On the occasion of the opening celebrations of Jum ir-Rabat, the American Auto Club – Malta, was invited by the Rabat local council to organise a car show.

Around 40 vehicles were on show, including trucks, pick-ups and cars.

The show was officially opened by the Rabat mayor, who spoke about the importance of such clubs.

The most eye-catching vehicle was a blue Mack Super Liner of 1990 with a 350 six-cylinder engine. The truck owner, Charlie Debono, said that much work went into restoring the truck – over two years. It can take up to 10 people and inside one can find sofas, a bar and a television.
