The guest trainer for this half-day training session will be Ms Dominique Döttling. After becoming a member of Junior Chamber Germany in 1997, Ms Döttling undertook several “local” roles until she became local international vice president. In 2002, she was elected national president of JCI Germany and excelled in that role. She has attended numerous national events as well as several JCI area conferences and JCI world congresses. Ms Döttling was elected 2003 JCI international vice president but has been more or less active at the international JCI level for more than five years. She has also recently been honoured by 2004 JCI world president Fernando Sanchez-Arias as a “Passion-for-Action Leader”.

She holds a Master of Arts degree in Social Science and Economics, and manages her own consulting company.

In addition, she is a member of various commissions consulting with the German Government, including the Ministries of Education, Economics and Labour; Health and Social Security and Women, Youth and Family. This year’s training session is entitled: Maximise your potential - How to work with the greatest human need: Attention. Attention is probably one of the greatest innate human needs. There is a craving for attention very early in life when babies become very attached to the mother or primary carer. This attention is fostered by the continuous cuddling and love received in babyhood. Touch is one of the most important instruments of attention that is received and probably one of the most under-estimated. The importance of attention will also be extended to the field of organisations and teams. Delegates will learn to identify the key team members and gain understanding of difficult behaviour within teams while developing strategies for improvement. Communication also plays a vital role in developing healthy relationships with team members. Delegates will learn to recognise and develop a healthy communication style which will foster trust and develop confidence in a team.

This session is open to the public and will be of interest to anyone who works in a team within any organisation who would like to develop a better relationship with and between the members of that team.

A subsidised fee of Lm17 for non-members covers the training course followed by a buffet
