The commission’s goal is to analyse and give advice on the introduction and implementation of private waste collection schemes.

The commission, that includes representatives of the Chamber of Commerce, the VAT department, WasteServ and other entities, aims to discuss how the private waste collection schemes are to work in accordance with the principles of the Environment Protection Act as well as those of the Eco-Contribution Act.

The commission will also analyse the implementation and enforcement of the law and propose any needed measures for the improvement of the law without excess bureaucracy.

The commission will report back to the government by the end of November.
