In a statement, the Agriculture Director announced the applications can also be picked up at the Research and Development Centre in Ghammieri, the agriculture branch (IACS), the Projects and Development Department and the Ministry for Gozo.

Applicants must have the eight-page receipt of their IACS application, their VAT number, their identity card and that of the producer as well as copies of any contracts with processors together with a signed declaration from the processor claiming the total amount of tomatoes being sent for processing.

Unless announced otherwise, the closing date for the applications is 30 November.

Any late applications will result in a one per cent deduction from the subsidy for every day.

A delay of 15 days will result in loss of the right for subsidy.
