Paul Attard, 33, from Qormi, was found guilty of stealing a stereo from a car parked at Ghadira Bay in Mellieha and other items from a number of cars parked in the vicinity of Popeye’s Village, also in Mellieha. He was also found guilty of relapsing.

Handing down her judgement, Magistrate Abigail Lofaro said Attard had tried denying the charges but there was sufficient evidence to prove his guilt.

She added that the court was giving him a chance to change his way of life. Police inspector David Galea prosecuted.
