A 54-year-old man from Zabbar was standing on scaffolding to paint a wall in a residence in Zabbar when he fell one-and-a-half storeys. He was taken to St Luke’s Hospital where he was certified to be in critical but stable condition

Meanwhile, a 67-year-old man from Birkirkara was seriously injured when he was hit by a Volkswagen Golf driven by a 23-year-old woman. The man was taken to St Luke’s Hospital where he was certified to be in critical condition.

Magistrate M. Mallia appointed various experts to help in both inquiries.
