The young man was rushed to hospital shortly after the accident, at around 6.45pm. However, attempts to revive him proved in vain and he was certified dead shortly after he arrived at St Luke’s.
Duty Magistrate Dennis Montebello is carrying out an inquiry and has appointed various experts to help him, while Birzebbugia district police are investigating.
