Woman Denies deterring buyers

Malta Independent Tuesday, 26 October 2004, 00:00 Last update: about 13 years ago

Jean and Daniela Galea Souchet had accused Carmela Cherubina Mercieca of deterring buyers from purchasing their Madliena property by saying it was built illegally.

In the counter protest filed yesterday, Mrs Mercieca denied these claims and said there are two pending appeals at the Malta Environment and Planning Authority regarding this property.

There are also pending cases in the first hall of the Civil Court because Mrs Mercieca claimed she suffered damage because the dividing wall between the properties in question had not been properly plastered.

The woman also reminded the Galea Souchets that the compliance

certificate of their property had been issued on the false claim that the building was complete.

Mrs Mercieca demanded that the couple stop making these allegations against her and plaster the dividing wall properly so her property will not be damaged any further.
