The libel suit was filed against editor Felix Agius in response to an article published on 17 October on page seven entitled Within the Water Services Corporation.

The complainant objected to the article, which inferred that an employee was caught storing pornography on his work computer, but the police had not been involved and the case had been left to be dealt with internally.

The article claimed that the person in question was boarded out and given an early pension.

Mr Rizzo claims that the allegations were insulting and defamatory and requested the court to impose a fine not exceeding Lm5,000.
