About 325 candidates will be taking these examinations at the Malta Centre, Malta Society of Arts, Manufactures and Commerce, Palazzo De La Salle, 219 Republic Street, Valletta. The Malta Society of Arts, Manufactures and Commerce has been representing the London College of Music for the past 83 years.

Mr Aldred was trained in the English Choral Tradition, and studied piano, organ, voice, clarinet and conducting at Trinity College of Music, London, as an exhibitioner. He gained his degree in Education and Music from Durham University. He has been Director of Music at various Public, Preparatory and State schools and now teaches voice, piano, organ and conducts the South Norfolk Operatic and Choral

Society, Dolce and other groups by invitation. He is an examiner for the London College of Music. Mr Aldred will be holding a workshop at the Malta Society of Arts, Manufactures and Commerce, Palazzo De La Salle, 219 Republic Street, Valletta at 6pm on Friday, 19 November. Subject chosen for the workshop is Singing and Theatre Music. All music teachers and senior students are welcome to attend.
