Our politicians do not see the arts and theatre as a long-term investment and in fact, prefer to erect a building consecrating politics (and therefore power and power-mongering) in the heart of our capital city, rather than one that would generate creativity, ideas, and awareness.
Representatives of the three parties will be attending, namely a representative for Francis Zammit Dimech, Evarist Bartolo and Harry Vassallo. Being a public forum, all those who will be present will have the time and right to voice their opinions. A petition will also be circulated during the debate.
This crucial debate will take place in the Manoel Theatre Courtyard on Wednesday, 3 November at 7.30pm. We urge everybody, who holds the arts close to his heart, to attend.
