Patrimonju general editor John Manduca commented on the importance of these two works and how Patrimonju has notched up an impressive 30 publications to date.

The authors of Favray spoke about the daunting task of compiling this first comprehensive monograph on the artist. As John Spike wrote in the book’s preface: “The preparation of this book required the systematic examination of hundreds of paintings in Malta and abroad... Antoine Favray, artistic envoy to Malta receives in these pages an honourable and worthy reception in keeping.. with the time honoured tradition of hospitality to all travellers who take shelter on these shores.” This 300-page study on Favray contains 250 illustrations.

Giovanni Bonello also introduced his sixth Histories. He said he hoped these would continue to be appreciated as the other Histories have been. Reflections and Rejections, he commented, brings together a very wide-ranging selection of studies, from the Maltese gallarija to the vanishing church, from slavery to bones in Valletta and Floriana.
