Keith Galea, aged 24 from Santa Venera, was charged with injuring Graziella Apap’s hand at around 1pm last Thursday in Qormi. He was also accused of breaching the peace by shouting and fighting, relapsing in view of previous convictions and committing a crime while under the operative period of a suspended sentence.

Galea was granted bail against a Lm5,000 personal guarantee and was placed under house arrest.

Inspector Jesmond Borg prosecuted while Dr Manuel Mallia appeared for the accused.
