Joe won the Overseas Press and PR category in the British Professional Photography Awards 2004, which was held recently in the Midlands, England. He took the coveted title after beating off stiff competition, with over 2,500 entries being received from around the world.
Commenting about the quality of the entries, chairman of the judging panel, Dennis Hylander, said: “The overall standards were extremely high and to win one of the overseas categories is a tremendous accolade”.
Over 350 professional photographers attended a prestigious Awards ceremony held recently at the Hilton Hotel, Coventry. The inaugural event was the biggest and most spectacular photography awards ceremony ever held in the UK.
An annual exhibition, comprising of the winning images from the competition, will be travelling to a number of countries during the next 12 months.
This was the first combined Awards from the Master Photographers Association (MPA) and the British Institute of Professional Photographers (BIPP), who are working together with the purpose of promoting and maintaining standards of professionalism and excellence within photography.
