The Maltese national men’s and women’s teams (pictured on left) will be taking part in a tournament in Luxembourg for the Novotel Cup between 7 and 9 January.

The tournament is organised by the Luxembourg Volleyball Federation. Taking part in the event, apart from Malta and obviously Luxembourg, are Estonia, Slovenia, England and Liechtenstein.

Estonia, Slovenia, Malta and Luxembourg will be taking part in the men’s event, while England, Liechtenstein, Malta and Luxembourg will be taking part in the women’s tournament.

The programme of matches is as follows:

Friday 7 January: Men 2pm Estonia-Slovenia; 8.30pm Luxembourg Malta. Women: 4pm England-Malta; 6pm Luxembourg-Liechtenstein.

Thursday 8 January: Women: 1.30pm England-Liechtenstein; 8.30pm Luxembourg-Malta. Men: 3.30pm Estonia-Malta; 6pm Luxembourg-Slovenia.

Friday 9 January: Women 11am Liechtenstein-Malta; 5.30pm Luxembourg-England; Men 1pm Slovenia-Malta; 3pm Luxembourg-Estonia.
