Louis Apap-Bologna Reconfirmed Malta Chamber of Commerce president

Louis Apap-Bologna, who has been at the helm of the Malta Chamber of Commerce and Enterprise for the past 12 months, was reconfirmed in this post for 2005. The election took place during the chamber’s first council meeting held 6 January.

Mr Apap-Bologna, who holds an honours degree in economics, is managing director of Frederck Darmanin and Co Ltd. He has been a member of the chamber for the past three decades. During this time and prior to being voted president, he served in other important positions, namely senior vice-president, vice-president, honorary secretary, honorary treasurer and chairman of various chamber committees and trade sections.

At the same meeting Michael Scerri was re-elected senior vice-president and Victor A. Galea vice-president. The other elected officers were Norman Aquilina, honorary secretary; Andrew W. J. Mamo, honorary treasurer; Charles M. Mercieca, assistant honorary secretary and Peter Grima, assistant honorary treasurer.
