More people residing in buildings adjacent to the site where a four-storey building collapsed last week were evacuated in the past hours as the Building and Construction Authority reviewed its methods to clean-up the area,
In a statement on Wednesday, the authorities said they continued to keep the area under constant surveillance.
The Building and Construction Authority, assisted by the Civil Protection Department (CPD) and the Police, has taken additional precautionary measures regarding neighbouring and adjacent buildings, in the interest of public safety, the statement said.
Meanwhile, work is ongoing not only to address any dangers, but also to provide the necessary assistance to those affected.
In light of these developments, the Authority will be reviewing the method of the site cleaning process, the BCA said.

The evacuation of more residents on Wednesday came after last Sunday the authorities said they had completed the controlled demolition of the remainder of a residential building, Tania Flats.
